We called around to multiple places and every place was either over charging due to our urgent needs or scheduling too far out. Herdman Plumbing had a very kind receptionist (I wish I could remember her name, sorry.) who was very understanding of our situation and showed empathy toward us. January 2024 and repaired our leaking toilet, saving us so much money on water bill and preventing water damage)! From scheduling to quotes to project completion; team at Herdman Plumbing are wonderful every time!Jim and Dakota are fantastic! They not only plumbed our new dishwasher yesterday, but went above and beyond.Our house is a hodgepodge of DIY electrical and plumbing completed by previous owners. Rather than just tapping the new dishwasher into our existing drainage system of the kitchen sink (which frequently backed up due to our short and high p-trap), Jim and Dakota put in a new and longer p-trap. Now our new dishwasher has good drainage and so does our kitchen sink!While they were here, I mentioned we had a leaky shower head and hose bib. Dakota and Jim gave me a quote and got to work on those repairs, too! Herdman Plumbing was able to come to my house the same day I called to check out a... cracked pipe off my hose bib. Jim and Eric were able to give me a quote and were professional and helpful about giving me options to replace just the hose bib that cracked or add in replacing my other one. On March 18th 2024 our house got plugged up and water was leaking out of the clothes... washers discharge pipe, Herd man plumbing came right over, the mechanic and his apprentice quickly evaluated the situation, found the relief pipe and got their 75’ automated auger out and cleared the plug, the mechanic also inspected the exposed piping to make sure it was still intact, he did notice a small inconsequential crack, and made me aware of it he tested to make sure none of the system would leak, both he and his apprentice were very helpful and instructive on how to help prevent future problems. We will definitely be calling Herdman plumbing again.read more

3/8/2024 addition: Our previous good experiences with Herdman made it an easy decision to... call for help again after our bathroom sink clogged and we weren't able to resolve it ourselves. The previous owner installed some hack job plumbing throughout the house and it feels good looking at the professional updates done by Herdman. Brett showed up a few minutes early and quickly formed a plan which left me thinking "that's exactly what I wanted to happen". The job was finished quickly and with high quality and fair prices. Brett literally went above and beyond to resolve a bad kitchen sink clog and at one point climbed on the roof to snake the pipe from the plumbing vent. I had water leaking in my garage and couldn't tell where it was coming from. I was... stressing and kept using the shop AC to suck up the water. So I called Herdman Plumbing and to my surprise, they said they will be at my house in less than an hour. 30 minutes later they show up and figure out where the water is coming from, remove the old busted fitting, and replace it with a much better, safer connection. They did everything so quickly and efficiently, while explaining to me what happened and why (Bottom line: poor craftsmanship from previous owner).The two plumbers, Michael and Jerry, were so professional, kind and respectful. I was amazed at how well they worked together as a team. It went so much quicker and smoother. Jim and Chris came for what should have been a simple repair of a line for a new fridge... and ice maker but due to the age of the plumping fixtures themselves and construction from the 70’s they ended up with a bigger job. They worked diligently and we ended up with a much more functional situation and a way to turn off the water if there is a problem in the future. To meet the requirements of an inspection report for a pending sale, I needed a to have a... quick turn around getting earthquake straps put on a hot water heater that also needed to be repositioned in the process. I had an appointment within 3 days. If it was possible to rate the Herdman Pluming team a 10 I would do it! There is a level... of professional service that seems very rare these days, but I've had two instances in the last month for plumbing service- an outdoor water faucet that froze and leaked into a wall a few weeks ago and today for a puncture in the main water line from a new floor installation. When I called today they were very helpful and located one of their plumbers to come by today and fix the issue. Brett came by today and Jim a few weeks ago. These are the kind of people that you want to have as friends and hang out with. They're very professional, knowledgeable, go the extra mile to deliver outstanding service because they care. Late last month (March) my 93-year-old uncle stayed with me for a few days/nights. On... the last morning of his visit, I awakened to a flooded bathroom and a very embarrassed, much-loved member of my family admitting the error of his ways. Out came the plunger, but there was no budging that jam up. I asked my younger, muscly brother for his assistance, but again, after much effort it wouldn't come unplugged. I called two different recommended plumbers, but I couldn't get anyone to help me in a timely fashion. I'm no spring chicken and I have a fake knee, so the only relief to my situation was to climb to the second story bathroom several times a day and night. This just wasn't working for me, so on April 4 I called Herdman Plumbing and explained my situation. I was scheduled for April 18 but also put on a cancellation list. Imagine my shock when I received a call the very next morning (April 5) from Jim and Chris - two of Herdman's finest - who told they'd be at my house in 10 minutes! These two were ready, willing, able and affable to help me get that clog unclogged! Then, the moment of truth arrived: The water to the toilet was turned back on and Jim flushed the handle .............. and the toilet flushed! I guess Jim and Chris must have the magic touch because the clog had become unclogged by itself over time! I was embarrassed that I hadn't checked it myself sooner, but they were so nice about my situation. Needless to say, I will be calling Herdman Plumbing in the future for my plumbing needs and I highly recommend them! And I hope they'll send Jim and Chris to my house when I do call!read more
